About Me
Credentials
I am a board-certified General Surgeon, trained in abdominal surgery, trauma and orthopaedic surgery, as well as emergency medicine. I hold a Master of Science in Global Health from Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh, and I am currently completing my BSLM accreditation in Lifestyle Medicine.
I trained in Germany, Spain, Mexico, Nigeria and the UK, gaining first-hand knowledge of how healthcare works across different systems.
I have a passion for evidence-based self-improvement, a strong sense of empathy and extensive cross-cultural experience; everything you need in an ally for what comes next.
Why I Built This Practice
In my decade of practice as a general surgeon, I have seen firsthand what happens when prevention fails. Surgery is often the right answer to that failure. It is rarely the only one.
I now practise lifestyle medicine because it gives me the chance to prevent a diagnosis from happening, and to treat existing ailments by addressing their root causes, instead of just their symptoms. It is the more sustainable solution for the individual and for the system, but it rarely succeeds alone. It needs structure, and a physician tracking your progress alongside you. I stay with my patients for as long as it takes.
My Philosophy
I believe health is a human right, not a privilege. It should be accessible to everyone.
I believe in patient autonomy, self-determination and competence. My job is not to decide for you, but to give you the information you need to make the right choices for yourself.
I believe in evidence over trend, in time over speed, and in a documented plan over a verbal suggestion you're expected to remember and carry out alone.
My patients deserve a physician they can come to while they're still healthy, and long after their diagnosis, when the actual work of change happens.
